We have a great desire to see children come to know Christ and train them to follow Him for a lifetime. Teaching children within a safe, secure, and loving environment is our priority as we partner with you to lay a biblical foundation for your child’s spiritual growth. Through Bible-based age-appropriate programs and interactive learning, children are guided to form a solid relationship with Christ and with others. Our kids ministries are FIRSTsteps (birth through 5 years old) and FIRSTkids (Kindergarten through 5th grade).

FIRSTsteps is our kids ministry for birth through 5 years old. Our goal to equip kids to learn the basic foundations of their faith from a young age. Your child will be learning three core values “God Made Me”, “God Loves Me” and “Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever” through fun and age-appropriate curriculum and Bible stories. We want to equip every generation, even the youngest, to know and follow Jesus!

FIRSTsteps NURSERY (Birth-24 months): Our nursery has everything you could want for your little one ages birth-24 months! We have nursery available for the Sunday school and worship hours with drop-off starting at 9:15 AM. We know it can make families nervous dropping of their child for the first time, so we do everything we can to make you and your child feel comfortable. We will have you fill out a form each week to share information to best care for your child. Our volunteers will text you if they have any questions or if we need you at any time!

FIRSTsteps KIDS (2-5 year olds): Once your child is 2 years old, they will be in our FIRSTsteps classroom. Here kids have a more structured time of play, crafts, snacks, playground and learning God’s word. We have FIRSTsteps Kids available during the Sunday School and Worship hours with drop-off starting at 9:15 AM.

SAFETY: Safety is a top-priority here at FBC Eastland. Every one of our classrooms has a monitored security camera and our children’s area has a secure locked door that will close and lock after drop-off. Our volunteers/staff are background-checked and trained and there will never be just one adult in a classroom. Each week we have a check-in desk with name tags that will have your contact information at the bottom and a parent/guardian tag that will print off so we can match the child up with the correct adult.

FIRSTkids is our elementary kids ministry for kindergarten through fifth grade. Our goal is to equip kids to learn the foundations of their faith, to grow in their understanding of the Bible, and to learn what it means to follow Jesus. We want to equip every generation, to know and follow Jesus!

FIRSTkids SUNDAY SCHOOL (9:30-10:30AM): We have Sunday School for elementary kids in the FIRSTkids worship room (across from the office) with drop-off starting at 9:15 AM. Here kids will sing songs, learn Bible stories, memorize scripture and do fun activities to help reinforce the Bible story.

FIRSTkids WORSHIP (10:45AM-11:45AM): After Sunday School, families will pick up their child in the FIRSTkids worship room and take them to the sanctuary. We have family worship for kids grades kindergarten and up. We feel like this is a great opportunity for kids to be able to worship with their families, hear children’s and regular sermons, and springboard faith conversations with their families. We have kid’s sermon notes to fill out with crayons as you come into the sanctuary.
