Pastor - T. Shawn Brewer, D.Min.

Dr .Brewer began serving as pastor of First Baptist Church in Eastland in Nov. '99. He is a graduate of Austin College (B.A. '86), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. '90 & D. Min. '96) His doctoral work is in the area of conflict resolution. His heart is to be a pastor involved with people and seeks to be very involved in our community. He is married to Lauri (Poindexter) Brewer and has three children: Cara (b. 1989), Colton (b. 1991) and Clay (b. 1996).

Shawn is very active in youth sports with his kids. Having been a physical education major and college football and baseball athlete, both he and his wife Lauri remain physically active with their children and other community activities. Shawn's hobbies include water skiing, hunting and camping, snow skiing, golf, and riding motorcycles.

Dr. Brewer has been in the ministry for twenty years and has been nominated for Who's Who in the national business journal of his field.

Larry Wesson - Minister of Music

Larry Wesson, and his wife Rebecca, have one daughter, Mary (b. 1983), who is currently a student at Texas A&M University. Larry enjoys playing golf and doing yard work, but is always glad to see the growing season end each fall. He also enjoys singing with the Singing Men of Texas (North Central Texas Chapter), a choir for Southern Baptist Ministers of Music, who sing concerts in North Texas area churches September - May each year. Larry's education includes: Snyder High School graduate, Bachelor of Music Education from Tarleton State University, and Master's of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in the following churches: Acton Baptist Church - Granbury, Tx., Trinity Baptist Church - Ft Worth, Tx., Colonial Hill Baptist Church- Snyder Tx., and currently Minister of Music at First Baptist Church - Eastland, Tx.
