Music Ministry
The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church is comprised of several musical groups that all support the worship of the FBC family as we gather weekly to praise and exalt the Lord, our God.
These groups include:
Preschool Choir
Ages 4 & 5 year olds. Meets weekly on Sunday afternoons during the school year.
Children’s Choir
Children 1st – 6th Grades. Meets weekly on Sunday afternoons during the school year.
Adult Handbell Choir
Comprised of adults who read music (both melody and rhythm). Meets weekly on Monday evenings during the school year at 5:30pm.
Adult Ensemble
Voices of Praise. Comprised of adult singers chosen by the Minister of Music. The music of this group is varied from a’capella to contemporary choral music. This group rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings throughout the year and leads in our worship services at various times through the year.
Sanctuary Choir
Comprised of adult singers age 18 and above. This group is all volunteer and rehearses weekly throughout the year on Wednesday evenings. The music for this covers a variety of styles from Southern Gospel, fairly traditional choral, all the way to contemporary choral. The Sanctuary Choir is the principle worship leadership group and sings most every Sunday throughout the year.
Praise Band
This group is made up of Pianist, Organist, Drummer, Acoustic Rhythm Guitar, Electric Bass, Keyboard String Reduction, Brass Keyboard Reduction, and Auxiliary Percussion. This group rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings on the music for the upcoming Sunday worship services.
