Children’s Ministry

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

We have a great desire to see children come to know Christ and then train them to follow Him for a lifetime. Teaching children within a safe, secure, and loving environment is our priority as we partner with you to lay a biblical foundation for your child’s spiritual growth. In a society where pressures to conform are great, we seek to equip children to conform not to the world, but to Christ. Through Bible-based programs and interactive learning, children are guided to form a solid relationship with Christ and with others.

Sunday School

We have teachers that love and teach our children every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.

Children’s Church

During the 11 a.m. service we have an Extended Session (toddlers -3 year olds) in the Preschool Suite for additional Bible fun.

4 year olds – 2nd grade attend Children’s Church while their parents attend Worship. Children’s Church consists of Kid Style Worship which includes music, games, and a high energy lesson!  Children attend worship with their parents after Sunday School and after the offertory music, children 4yrs-2nd grade are dismissed. They meet upstairs in the youth room for an experience that is geared just for kids!

3rd grade and up sit with their families during Worship.

TeamKid

Each Wednesday night during the school year, well over a hundred students grade K-6th meet in the gym at 5:30 for TeamKid.  TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID—Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation—connect to teach life lessons to kids.

VBS

Each June, First Baptist Church in Eastland hosts a week-long Vacation Bible School for children age 4 – 7th grade.  Each morning children learn the Bible through exciting music, fun Bible stories, arts and crafts, and games.  Make plans for your child to attend this year’s VBS.
