| We are equally
blessed that God has used us in ministering to the community of
Eastland. Soon, First Baptist Church Eastland will begin
construction of an Education/Multi-Purpose facility that will
provide room for 750 in bible study, and a place for recreation and
fellowship for both our church body and the community. We have
been instrumental in starting the Leon River Cowboy Church
mission, provide facilities for the Ladies Community Bible
Study Fellowship, a non-denominational weekday bible study which
meets on Wednesdays, Coaches Outreach, a non-denominational
bible study for coaches, GED and ESL classes through
the County Extension Agency. We also open our facilities to
other groups like Weight Watchers, student groups for
fund raisers, as well as business and civic organizations.
The "Prayer Ministry" at First Baptist
Church is without question the nucleus of everything we do. We
teach and believe this simple truth, Prayer Changes Lives.
