Sunday School at First Baptist Church
This Sunday School year is going to be a great one. We have been blessed with more than 50 men and women that will be teaching and leading our Sunday School program.  At First Baptist Church we have classes for all ages. From bed babies to Senior adults, our classes are equipped with people that love the Lord and love those that God brings our way. We respectfully refer to our Sunday School leaders as "Champions for Christ".

Sunday School ministries at First Baptist Church afford learning opportunities to everyone. The list of class options below reflect our commitment to provide various learning environments that are both effective and rewarding to class members. Since there may be more than one class for your specific age group, we encourage you to carefully read the information for each class you may be interested in. Contact our church offices if you need additional assistance.

Youth Ministry:  Our youth ministry is led by our youth minister Jay Beerley.  Jay does an outstanding job leading these young people through their teenage years as they learn about their gifts and talents while growing into a closer relationship with Christ.  See the Student section of our website for greater details about all the ministry opportunities available to our youth.

College & Career:  What a time of transition for these adults.  Dr. and Mrs. Hugh Wilson will be leading this class for the first time and they are excited about what the Lord has in store for them.  This class provides an opportunity for bible study, encouragement, and outreach to the two nearby colleges and students that come home on weekends.
Teachers:  Hugh and Donna Wilson

Ladies Class:  Cradle to Senior Adults.  This brand new approach to a ladies ministry has proven to be quiet successful.  Ladies as young as 20 and as old as 60 gather each Sunday to study God's word, fellowship, and encourage each other in the challenges that each individual may be experiencing.  Jodi does a great job reaching these women for Christ in a unique and rewarding way.

Thirty Niners:  For those who have conquered several decades that end with the number "9", this class provides excellent bible instruction and lots of fun and fellowship for its members.  While many of the members have children of college age, it's safe to say that all the members have been thirty nine years of age.  Hence the name "Thirty Niners".
