Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thank you for your interest in First Baptist Church’s AWANA Program.  This exciting church ministry  for children ages 4 through 6th grade began over 50 years ago in Chicago, Illinois.  There are currently over 8,000 churches in the United States and over 1,800 churches in foreign countries that have AWANA clubs.

AWANA offers a series of materials and activities geared to the needs of a particular grade or age with opportunities for earning awards, badges, patches, and pins, which are rewards for learning Bible verses and completing group service and missions projects.  Your child will also earn AWANA “bucks” for things such as attendance, bringing a Bible, wearing his or her uniform, or bringing a friend. Your child can spend AWANA bucks in our AWANA store that is stocked with items from pencils and yoyos to Christian C.D.s and t-shirts.

AWANA starts on September 14th and meets from 5:30 - 7:00pm on Wednesday nights.
Don't miss our Kickoff and Registration Party on September 11th at 5pm.  An Islander party with snow cones, hot dogs, treasure hunts, jump houses and more....
