![]() | Dr. Shawn Brewer Pastor Dr. Shawn Brewer has served as senior pastor since 11/99. He has a B.A. from Austin College (’86),M. Div. (’90), Doctorate of Ministry (’96) both from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Tx. Shawn married his wife Lauri (Poindexter) Brewer in Jan. 1988 and they have three children, Cara Richelle (born 1989) Colton Thomas (born 1991) and Clay Samuel (born 1996). Shawn serves in the local ministerial alliance and is active in both associational and state convention work. His hobbies include hunting, camping, golf, and riding motorcycles. Shawn’s heart is to lead F.B.C. Eastland to truly be a place where real people with real needs can come and be encouraged in their walk of faith and understand God’s word as the guide for one’s life. |
![]() | Guy Earle Associate Pastor Guy Earle has served as the Associate Pastor since 2007. Guy has been happily married for 15 years to wife Christy. They have three beautiful children, Jordan, Jeremiah, Isabella. Guy has been in the ministry for 15 years. He has ministered with the Power Team and Team Impact. Prior to getting into Ministry, Guy spent his time playing professional football. He played for the Washington Redskins and the Houston Oilers of the NFL, and the Baltimore Stallions and Winnipeg Bluebombers of the CFL. Guy received his bachelors of Arts degree from Chadron State College, and is now pursuing a Masters of Arts in Religion at B. H Carroll Theological Institute. |
![]() | Larry Wesson Music Minister Larry Wesson began serving as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Eastland, in August, 2001. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University (B.M.E. '73) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.R.E. '82). Larry's heart is to equip and lead our church family to worship and praise the Lord with our whole heart and being. Larry is married to Rebecca (Laminack) Wesson and they have one daughter, Mary, a graduate of Texas A&M ('06). Larry is very active in the Singing Men of Texas (North Central Texas Chapter), a choir of Texas Baptist Ministers of Music, who sing concerts in North Texas area churches during the school year calendar (Sept.-May) each year. |
![]() | Stephen Storm Mission Pastor Stephen Storm serves as minister of community missions. He is pursuing God’s calling to missions on domestic soil. His family originally joined FBC Eastland in 2004 before leaving after four years to pursue education and international mission opportunities, but the Lord called them back to serve in Eastland in September of 2009. Stephen is happily married to his wife Jacey. They are both 1994 graduates of Eastland High School. He is currently a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary seeking the Master of Divinity degree. Jacey works at home, teaches in Son Light School, and volunteers at Church. They are the proud parents of Nicholas (14), Carter, (10), and Hudson (7). |
![]() | Joanna Maynard Church Secretary Joanna began serving as the Church Secretary at First Baptist Church, Eastland, in August of 1988. She married Rocky Maynard, who was her high school sweetheart. They have two grown children, Mandy Groothoff (husband: Brian) of Cedar Park and Rusty Maynard of Burleson, and five grandchildren, Lacey, Reagan, Kaleb, Kayton and Kennedy. Joanna's interests include spending time with her family (especially the grandchildren), church activities, all kinds of sports, reading, and home projects. Joanna sees serving as the Church Secretary here at FBC, Eastland as a blessing and a privilege. |
![]() | Barbara McCollum Financial Secretary Barbara and her husband, Joe Frank McCollum, became members of First Baptist Church, Eastland in 1989. After one year of college, they married and moved to Lubbock to finish college and raise three children, Eddie, Connie and Joe Don. In 1980, the McCollums moved to Okra, Texas where Joe Frank was born and raised. Barbara loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren, being involved in all church activities, sports, reading and visiting with friends. In September 2000, after 46 years of marriage, Joe went to live in his heavenly home. In 2001, Barbara became Financial Secretary of FBC in Eastland where she truly feels God placed her. |
